The Community Foundation recently launched an exciting new feature on our website. Now contributors to many of our scholarship funds, special project funds, agency endowed funds and affiliate funds can visit these comprehensive donor landing pages to learn about the fund, read the latest news and easily make a safe online contribution. Visitors will also find links there to the funds’ websites if they exist. There are presently nine funds up and running with more scheduled for launch in the next six weeks. | Nonprofit Workshop Series Helps
Leaders Make Challenging Shift

Some 60 area nonprofit leaders gathered at New Britain’s ITBD Center to participate in the Sept. 14th workshop with consultant Jane Lennox, “Collaborations, Alliances, Partnerships, and More: Winning Strategies for Uncertain Times.” The event was the second in a series co-sponsored by the Community Foundation and the American Savings Foundation in an effort to bring critical and timely information to the region’s nonprofit organizations. | Community Foundation Awards More than $200K to Nine Local Nonprofits

The Community Foundation awarded $201,960 in second-round grants serving its four-town service area of Berlin, New Britain, Plainville and Southington. Some $115,000 of this grant money comes from the Foundation’s own First Year’s First Fund, which supports the early childhood initiative. Read more

Awards More than $90K in Grants

The revitalized Community Chest of New Britain and Berlin, Inc., a supporting organization of CFGNB, has issued its first round of grants totaling $91,175, to seven local nonprofits. Applications for the next round are due Oct. 15th. Read more.

| Nonprofit Agencies Unveil Proposals
for Catalyst Fund’s $10K Award

A mobile van, a support group for monolingual Hispanic seniors and comprehensive assessments for seniors struggling to live at home are among the services described to members of the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain’s Catalyst Fund as three nonprofits shared their unique vision for how they would spend the Fund’s annual $10,000 award if selected to receive the funding.
