Family Resource Center's Recent Open House
Shows that Parent Interest is High

Southington's new Family Resource Center (FRC), which was funded last year by a $25,000, one-year grant from the First Years First Fund, the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain's early childhood development initiative, recently hosted an open house to showcase the success of its new playgroups in four of the town's eight elementary schools. At full capacity with waiting lists, the playgroups were started to help young children and their parents make a successful transition to school.
