The Deadline for nominations for the fifth annual Celebrate Our Communities! Community Service Awards is right around the corner.

Who is your hometown hero? That's the question residents of Berlin, New Britain, Plainville and Southington are again being asked as the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain seeks nominations for its fifth annual Celebrate Our Communities! Awards program.

Nominations for the Celebrate! Awards in Berlin, Plainville or Southington are due March 1. All Celebrate New Britain! Nominations are due by April 5. Read more.

Community Foundation Salutes Long-time Volunteers

Catalyst Fund Meets a Growing Need for Seniors Citizens

Lack of access to critical services is one of the biggest challenges facing the region's growing older adult population and their adult caregivers. In response to this challenge, the Catalyst Fund of the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain recently awarded a $10,000 grant to Central Connecticut Senior Health Services for a mobile kiosk designed to reach seniors who are isolated or otherwise unaware of services available to them, and their families. Community Foundation Scholarships are Available Now. It's Never Too Early To Apply

The only thing more stressful than waiting for that college acceptance letter is finding a way to pay for college. The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain is fortunate to have numerous scholarships available to graduating seniors from high schools in Berlin, New Britain, Plainville and Southington as well as select scholarships for students in Farmington, Newington and Wethersfield. There are also various scholarships for students already enrolled in a program of higher education. Read more.
