Stop & Shop Supports Southington Science & Math Initiative
Stop & Shop Supermarkets recently awarded a $1,000 donation to the Southington Science and Math Initiative (SSMI). The program, a collaboration of the Southington Board of Education, Southington parents and the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, is helping Southington schools respond to the national deficit of students pursuing science- and math-related careers by funding programs above and beyond what the school district can provide through conventional means.
