Scholarships for Graduating Seniors
Suzanne Beckius Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating high school seniors and students already attending an accredited university or college full time, who have participated in Southington Youth Summer Theater and/or Plainville Choral Society Youth Summer Theater and are pursuing college studies.
Eleanor and Nathan Berry Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating high school seniors who are residents of Berlin, Farmington, New Britain, Newington, Plainville and Southington pursuing four-year college degrees in fields related to either medicine or finance.
Helen T. Bianca Nursing Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of Berlin and New Britain High Schools pursuing a nursing degree at an accredited four-year college or university.
Vincent Biscoglio Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of Berlin High School who have participated in Berlin UpBeat in their junior and senior years. Candidates are recommended by the director of the UpBeat Program.
Gloria Biscoglio Bosco Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of Berlin High School planning to major in education.
Virginia and William Bray Scholarship
Criteria: Employees of Jerome Home pursuing professional education beyond high school; this may include continuing education, certificate or degree programs.
William G. “Billy” Bryant Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of Plainville High School, pursuing a two- or four-year degree, or advanced education in a trade or technical career.
Dick Burkarth/Shuttle Meadow Country Club Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating high school seniors and students already attending an accredited university or college as full-time students pursuing a degree leading to a career related to golf, who are residents of Berlin, Farmington, New Britain, Newington, Plainville and Southington.
William Burns Memorial Award and Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating senior male athletes of the New Britain High School, planning to pursue a bachelor's or associate's degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
Catherine C. Conway Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of New Britain High School who will attend Central Connecticut State University and pursue a career in teaching.
Michael J. Davey Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating senior of ALTA, the Southington Alternative Education Program, pursuing professional education beyond high school.
Vic and Betty Fumiatti Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of E. C. Goodwin Technical High School in New Britain pursuing two- or four-year degrees, or advanced education leading to certification or licensing in a trade or technical field at an accredited technical school.
Louis O. Gagliardi Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of New Britain High School who have demonstrated achievement, ability and contribution to men’s track and field and/or men’s cross country for a minimum of three (3) years.
Louis P. Gianoli Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of New Britain and E.C. Goodwin Technical High Schools pursuing two- or four-year degrees, or advanced education in a trade or technical field.
Allen M. and Rosalind W. Humes Humanitarian Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors at Berlin High School and the high schools serving Deep River, Conn. and Winchester, N.H.
Paul J. and Mary P. Karam Music Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of Berlin High School, pursuing a four-year degree in the field of music, including music education, at an accredited college or university.
Keith Benson Kramer Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of Berlin High School pursuing a four-year degree in the field of music, including music education, at an accredited college or university.
Macdonald/Hjerpe Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors from Farmington, New Britain and Plainville High Schools with plans to pursue a two- or four-year college degree.
Elizabeth I. and Louis J. Matt Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating high school seniors, or those who previously graduated from a public high school in Newington, Wethersfield or New Britain, Connecticut, who wish to pursue a medical vocation, broadly defined.
Louis J. (Mattioli) Matt Music Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors from a public high school serving New Britain, Newinton, or Plainville, CT, pursuing a degree in music education or music performance at an accredited college/school that offers a degree in music education or music performance.
William P. McCormack Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors who are residents of New Britain and Berlin, pursuing bachelor's degree at accredited four-year college or university.
James W. McDermott, Jr., Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors from Berlin High School pursuing a four-year degree at an accredited college or university.
Kim Miller Synchronized Swimming Scholarship
Criteria: Registered members of the United States Synchronized Swimming (USSS) East Zone who will be participating in synchronized swimming at the collegiate level.
Kimberly R. Miller Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors who have been members of the Berlin High School Girls Swim Team for a minimum of two years.
Linda Blogoslawski Mlynarczyk Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: This scholarship is awarded to the valedictorian of the graduating class of New Britain High School.
New Britain General Hospital School of Nursing Alumni & Associates Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of New Britain High School, pursuing a two- or four-year nursing degree at an accredited college or university.
Stanley and Margaret Nowacki Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating high school seniors of New Britain High School and Newington High School pursuing four-year college degrees.
Peter G. Perakos, Sr., Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of New Britain High School who have demonstrated football achievement, ability and contribution to the team.
Harold Rahm Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Awarded to a young man and young woman of the graduating class of New Britain High School planning to pursue a college education.
Frank E. Rogers Scholarship for Agricultural Studies
Criteria: Graduating seniors of the Carl M. Small Regional Agriculture Center of Southington High School, planning to pursue a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in agriculture (as it relates to food production) at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
Dennis J. Stanek, Sr., Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: High school seniors who are residents of the town of Southington, Conn. and who are graduating from Southington High School; who have participated in varsity sports and/or with community service involvement; who will attend the University of Connecticut.
Harry L. Stromquist Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: For graduating seniors of New Britain High School who played varsity football and are planning to attend an accredited four-year degree program at a college or university.
Harold M. Sussman Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of New Britain and Berlin High Schools who are planning to attend an accredited two or four-year program at a college or university.

Criteria: For people of color in Connecticut who have completed the Alternate Route to Teacher Certification program who are committed to a career in public school teaching.
Alma Exley Scholarship
Criteria: Students of color who have passed the Praxis examination and have been admitted to a certified teacher preparation program at an accredited four-year college or university in Connecticut. Applications are accepted in the Fall.
