Louis P. Gianoli Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Graduating seniors of New Britain and E.C. Goodwin Technical High Schools pursuing two- or four-year degrees, or advanced education in a trade or technical field. Candidates will exhibit many of Mr. Gianoli's personal attributes: a self-starter and leader; a positive outlook on life; consideration of academic achievement and involvement in school, church and/or community activities.
Candidates will be recommended by a guidance counselor, a teacher or the principal of their respective schools. The recommending party will write a letter outlining how the student meets the criteria set forth by the description above, and will forward that along with (a) the student's completed high school common application form, (b) a copy of student transcripts, and (c) the student's resume highlighting student achievements, extracurricular activities, work experience, community service, other interests and activities, and career plans.
