Their Vision Fund

       of Southington

Created in 2008, the Their Vision Fund was initiated to honor the extraordinary efforts of three special Southington volunteers, Kathy Reinhard, Peter Veronneau and Stuart Estra.  In addition to this permanent expression of a community’s gratitude, the Their Vision Fund was also started as a way to provide an annual stream of revenue to help supplement the activities, programs and outreach efforts of the town’s department of Community Services.

Southington Community Services (SCS) provides support services to Southington residents and serves as a link between private providers, human services and governmental agencies. SCS’s Mission is “To Assist and Empower Southington Residents.”

Our Story

You can always find Kathy, Peter and Stuart around town volunteering, raising funds or looking for ways to improve the quality of life for Southington residents.  All three are special individuals who have had an impact on the lives of local families, many of whom will never see their faces or know what they have done.

William Penn once said, “I expect to pass through life but once. If, therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.”

It was with these thoughts, and as a way to express a community’s collective gratitude for all they gave and continue to give, the Their Vision Fund was created by Fund founders Janet Mellon, SCS Director, Kaye Davis and Teri Javier. To read more on these inspirational volunteers click here.
