Endowment Fund


As a national model with nearly forty years of proven success, Prudence Crandall Center is dramatically improving the lives of 10,000 victims of domestic violence annually. Women, men and children experiencing domestic violence are provided with the comprehensive services they need to regain control of their lives. Services include:  a 24-Hour Crisis Hotline, Emergency Shelter, Counseling, Support Groups, Advocacy, Information, Referrals, Community Education, Children's Programs, Transitional Housing and Permanent Supportive Housing. The Endowment Fund is designed to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Center’s new Rose Hill facility that provides supportive housing and an array of expanded support services. 


Our Story

 Prudence Crandall Center was established in 1973 by women who envisioned a place for women to support one another.  Today, the Center provides multiple housing options and support services for victims of domestic violence. The first organization of its kind in Connecticut and one of a few in the country, the Center is a beacon of hope in the region.
