More than 30 Scholarships Currently Available through the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain 

Applications are due now through March

(February 23, 2009) – Students interested in applying for scholarships should know that most scholarships have application deadlines in February or March.  More than 30 college scholarships are managed by The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain and available to students living in the Foundation’s four-town service area of Berlin, New Britain, Plainville and Southington, as well as select scholarships for students in Farmington, Newington and Wethersfield. In addition, some scholarships are open to private school students who reside in Berlin, Farmington, New Britain, Newington, Plainville and Southington.

A complete listing and related information on all scholarships is available on the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain website (www.cfgnb.org) and in the high school guidance offices in the named towns. Community Foundation scholarships are established by donors in accordance with their instructions. As criteria, applications and processes vary, students should seek the advice of their high school guidance counselors before applying.
